Party Food For the Adventurous Sagittarius

If you have met a Sagittarius, you probably know that they are one of the most adventurous souls around. Sagittarian personalities are not only wandering but also loyal, artistic, and independent. These individuals are also friendly, super kind as well as outgoing– which is why they love throwing and attending parties. If you invite them for the latter, try not to disappoint them by preparing salivating party food that they will love.

Of course, if you have never hosted your Sagittarians friends before, it is going to be a little tricky to know what to serve, but with Captains Food Recipe, you have nothing to stress over.

Here are two delicious dishes that Sagittarians will love to have at a party.

Grilled Beef with Broccoli

Make grilled beef and broccoli whenever you are throwing a party for your Sagittarian buddies. They will love it! To prepare the dish, get the following ingredients.

  • Garlic cloves (grated)
  • Oyster sauce
  • Soy sauce
  • Ginger (peeled and grated)
  • Toasted sesame oil
  • Mild-flowered molasses
  • Shaoxing wine
  • Flank steak
  • Rice vinegar (unseasoned)
  • Heads of broccoli (peel the stems, cut the heads into halves)

To make grilled beef with broccoli, start by putting soy sauce, wine, oyster sauce, molasses, oil, garlic, and ginger in a bowl and then whisk. Put your flank steak in a resealable plastic bag, add about two or three cups of the marinade, depending on the size of the steak. Seal the bag and place it in the refrigerator for about 1 – 12 hours for the steak to marinate.

After the steak marinates, set the heat of your charcoal or gas grill to medium and grill it until it is charred on both sides. After it has rested for a while, slice it into about ½ inch-thick strips. From there, add some water to the remaining marinade and brush the broccoli all over it, then grill until it is tender and charred – which will take about 12 minutes. Let it cool for some time.

When serving the grilled broccoli and beef, do it with sliced scallions, cooked white rice plus toasted sesame seeds.

Any Sagittarian will light up should s/he find this tasty Mexican recipe, which has a crumbly corn-like taste, at a party. A lot of people have compared it with corn cake, but it is a bit steamier. The ingredients are:

  • Masa harina
  • Baking powder
  • Chicken or beef broth
  • Dried corn husks
  • Cumin
  • Lard
  • Salt to taste

When making tamales, begin by soaking the corn husks in a large bowl of incredibly hot water until they are tender, which will require around 30 minutes. Make the filling you want; you will need about 3 – 4 cups of it for one tamale dough batch. Some of the filling options you can explore include:

  • Beans and cheese
  • Refried beans and Mexican rice
  • Red chili pork
  • Salsa verde chili

Go ahead and begin making the masa dough. Put the lard in a bowl and use an electric mixer for beating it, together with a few tablespoons of the beef or chicken broth until it has become fluffy. Get another bowl, put the baking powder, salt, masa flour, and cumin. Proceed to add the mixture to the other bowl with the lard mixture and stir thoroughly. You can even use the electric mixer to beat the contents of your large bowl.

From there, keep adding the broth to make a soft dough and beat it for a few minutes so that it becomes a bit sticky. It should look a lot like creamy peanut butter. To ensure that the dough does not dry out, use a damp paper towel for covering the bowl.

Afterward, start assembling your tamales. Here are instructions on how you should do it.

Place a corn husk on a tray or kitchen counter and put 1-2 tablespoons of the masa dough on it, spreading it well using a metal spoon’s back. When doing the latter, leave some space at the husk’s narrow and broad end. Add your preferred filling at the dough’s center and then fold your tamale. Use the procedure to make all your tamales.
